As one of those "older people" I applaud your insights. I may have more money in the bank than many millennials, but it took me 35+ years of hard work and prudent money management to get there. And it was not me nor my contemporaries who facilitated the dot com meltdown, the Savings & Loan bust, or the Great Recession. Most of us had parents who experienced the Great Depression. They taught us how to weather such financial storms and stay afloat. They also taught us not to expect Government to bail us out. Why? Because most of these financial storms were facilitated by big Government, so it would be like expecting the fox to protect the hen house.
Live long and prosper!
