Residents of The Global Village mark March 15, 2020 as Pandemic Awareness Day. That was the day when governments around the world began to feel the impact of CORVID-19. They also learned that the outbreak in China had erupted in January but was kept under wraps by local authorities fearing repercussions from the Central Government. So each year on March 15th standard greetings are put aside to remind everyone to “Beware the Ides of March”

This is not just a slogan. It reminds Residents that, thanks to strict Consumer Surveillance and Artificial Intelligence, any spike in viral-type illnesses triggers an alert. Depending on the severity of the symptoms, all Residents in the affected area place themselves in voluntary quarantine. In turn, this reorients the Producer/Consumer relationship. The affected Residents became consumers of state-of-the-art treatment regimens. Skilled care professionals are summoned to provide the required services. Big Data keeps track of the inherent value of both services consumed and services produced.

Every resident participates in this exchange with full transparency. If able, the patient may continue to produce while in recovery. This may be as straightforward as allowing the Health Maintenance Team to use personal data and new treatment skills for research. So Value Accounts may be kept in balance. Thanks to Consumerism, Bankruptcy is unheard of in the Global Village.
