One of the most insightful articles I have read in Medium!
Our current philosophy of education is still anchored in the 19th Century. As such, students are coerced into acquiring actionable knowledge that supports industry--whether it supports the Common Good or not. History courses teach the What and Where of historical events, but glide over or ignore the How and Why of those events. As a result, we try to solve problems by matching historical events without any understanding of How those events came about and Why they spun out of control. The two world wars and the two global pandemics exemplify this thought process.
Your analysis provides the How and Why tools needed to start solving the global problems threatening the survival of the world. Science provides some of the Why and How knowledge, but this knowledge contributes little to Industry. Religion also provides some of the How and Why answers, but this only supports life after death. It does not help us avoid the impending death. Neither Science nor Religion seem capable of finding solutions that ensure a better life in both heaven and earth.
Hopefully, the insights of science and religion will converge in time to benefit the human species, both in heaven and on earth.
